BSN-JOBST Medical’s Comprilan Elastic Bandage does not contain elastic yarns, and is used in the treatment of lymphedema, venous leg ulcers and edema. This is a short stretch compression bandage, which means that, as opposed to long-stretch bandages, it offers high resistance to stretch and compression to improve venous and lymphatic return. Lymphedema bandages only stretch an additional 50% of their length, and as such they provide comfortable and safer pressures. Moreover, they do not create the typical constriction problems related to highly elastic bandages.
